DETROIT -- The A's charter plane is scheduled to arrive at Oakland International Airport between 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. PT on Sunday, and fans are encouraged to welcome the team home.

The A's lost the American League Championship Series to the Detroit Tigers, dropping a 6-3 thriller in Game 4 on Saturday. After staying over in Detroit on Saturday night, the A's are scheduled to head back to the Bay Area on Sunday morning.

The AL West champions reached the ALCS for the first time since 1992, winning the Division Series over the Minnesota Twins in a three-game sweep before losing the ALCS to the Tigers.
