Bailey pitches out of jam in rehab outing
ANAHEIM -- Andrew Bailey's third rehab outing didn't bring about the best results on Wednesday, but it was successful nonetheless, as the A's righty came out of the stint feeling healthy.

The team is expected to decide on Thursday whether Bailey needs another appearance with Triple-A Sacramento before making his return to Oakland, where he's yet to pitch this season.

Brought on in the fourth frame of Sacramento's home contest against New Orleans, Bailey gave up one hit while walking one and hitting another batter. He escaped the inning without allowing a run, tossing 20 pitches total -- 11 of which were strikes.

"He felt good," manager Bob Geren said. "He's had no setbacks, and he's doing everything we hoped he would."
