A's Option Adam Rosales to Sacramento

OAKLAND, Calif. - The Oakland A's optioned infielder Adam Rosales to Triple-A Sacramento, the club announced today.

Rosales batted .167 with no home runs and two RBI in 12 games with the A's this spring.  He also appeared in one regular season game against Seattle in Japan March 28, but did not have an at bat.

The A's now have 27 active players on the 40-man roster.  The breakdown includes 12 pitchers, two catchers, seven infielders and six outfielders.  The A's have 40 players on the 40-man roster plus Brett Anderson and Scott Sizemore, who are on the 60-day disabled list.  The roster must be reduced to 25 players by April 4.
