A's Option OF Michael Taylor to Sacramento

The Oakland A's optioned outfielder Michael Taylor to Triple-A Sacramento, the club announced today.  Taylor's roster spot will be taken by Casper Wells, who the A's acquired in a trade with Toronto yesterday.

Taylor was recalled from Sacramento April 13 and went 0 for 6 in three games.  He made his only start April 15 against Houston.  Taylor was batting .410 with three home runs and 11 RBI in nine games with the River Cats at the time of his promotion.

Wells was with Seattle this spring and hit .189 with two home runs and 14 RBI in 16 games before he was designated for assignment March 31.  He was claimed off waivers by Toronto April 10, reported to the Blue Jays April 12, and did not appear in a game before he was designated for assignment April 15.
