A's reinstate Rosales from the disabled list; option Parrino to Sacramento

OAKLAND, Calif. - The Oakland A's reinstated infielder Adam Rosales from the 15-day disabled list and optioned infielder Andy Parrino to Triple-A Sacramento, the club announced today.

Rosales began the season on the disabled with a strained left intercostal and began a rehab assignment with Single-A Stockton April 17. He went 6 for 12 (.500) in three games with the Ports before he was transferred to Triple-A Sacramento April 21. Rosales was 2 for 13 (.154) in three games with the River Cats and batted .320 with two doubles, a home run and RBI in six games overall. He appeared in two games at second base, two at shortstop and two at designated hitter.

Parrino was recalled from Sacramento April 10 and hit .125 in nine games with the A's. He started six games, including four at second base, one at shortstop and one at third base. Parrino was batting .174 in six games with the River Cats at the time of his promotion.
