ARLINGTON -- As expected, Wednesday morning came and went without the addition of A's outfielder Josh Reddick, who, despite being eligible to come off the disabled list, will likely need at least another week of rehab.
Reddick remains on track to join the team in Houston on Friday to take batting practice for the first time since going on the DL with a sprained right wrist. As long as all goes well, he'll do it again Saturday, and from there the A's will decide if he's ready for a rehab assignment.
Oakland's right fielder could potentially be reinstated next week, when the A's play four games against the Giants, two in Oakland and two in San Francisco, before they play host to the White Sox for a three-game set beginning May 31.
Reddick was batting just .152 at the time he was placed on the DL, though he believes his hitting woes may have strongly been connected to his wrist discomfort.
