At 6-feet tall, 205 pounds, James Lomangino was one of the top pitchers in the Big East. He finished 2013 with a 3.79 ERA despite going 2-6 in 15 starts.

The A's selected Lomangino with their 14th-round pick. He matched a career-high 10 strikeouts as part of his first career complete game against Notre Dame toward the end of the season with St. John's University to bump him up to second in the conference in strikeouts.
