A's Option RHP Dan Straily to Sacramento


OAKLAND, Calif. - The Oakland A's optioned right-handed pitcher Dan Straily to Triple-A Sacramento, the club announced today.

Straily is 4-2 with a 5.00 ERA in 12 starts for the A's this year. He currently has a career-high three-game winning streak over his last seven starts but has tossed fewer than five innings in each of his last two starts, allowing eight runs in 8.0 innings. Straily ranks second among American League rookies in strikeouts (53), tied for second in wins and third in innings pitched (66.2) and games started. He is 3-0 with a 0.96 ERA in three starts with Sacramento this year.
