A's recall RHP Straily from Sacramento; option C Vogt to Sacramento

OAKLAND, Calif. – The Oakland A’s recalled right-handed pitcher Dan Straily from Triple-A Sacramento and optioned catcher Stephen Vogt to Sacramento, the club announced today.

Straily is 4-2 with a 5.00 ERA in 12 starts over three stints with the A’s this year.  He made one start in each of first two stints before going 3-2 with a 4.69 ERA over a 10-start stretch from May 1 until he was optioned to Sacramento following the game of June 23.  Straily currently has a career-high three-game winning streak over his last seven starts but has tossed fewer than five innings in each of his last two starts, allowing eight runs in 8.0 innings.  He took the loss in his only outing with the River Cats following his most recent option, allowing six runs, two earned, on nine hits in 6.0 innings June 28 against Reno.  Straily is 3-1 with a 1.46 ERA in four starts overall with Sacramento.
