A's option 2B Grant Green to Triple-A Sacramento


OAKLAND, Calif. - The Oakland A's optioned second baseman Grant Green to Triple-A Sacramento, the club announced following tonight's game.

Green was recalled July 8 and went 0 for 15 in five games in his Major League debut. All five of his appearances were starts at second base against left-handed starters and he committed three errors. Green was batting .318 with 11 home runs and 49 RBI in 81 games with Sacramento. He was tied for second in the Pacific Coast League in runs (61) and hits (112), tied for fourth in doubles (25), ranks fifth in total bases (176) and tied for sixth in extra base hits (39) at the time of his promotion.
