SEATTLE -- Anyone sitting on the edge of their seats while awaiting word on Oakland's postseason rotation should probably just get comfortable.
A's manager Bob Melvin said Friday he's likely not going to announce his Game 1 starter for the American League Division Series until Tuesday, following Monday's meetings with Oakland's brain trust.
The leading candidate is seemingly Bartolo Colon, who made the start Friday night in Seattle. Another option is Jarrod Parker, who is set to pitch Saturday. On Sunday, it's Sonny Gray, who, despite having just 11 big league appearances under his belt, including nine starts, could very well find himself in the postseason rotation, should the ALDS reach four games.
Asked if this weekend's performances could affect decisions surrounding the playoff rotation, Melvin said, "I think we have a pretty good idea, but there's still room for potential movement as far as that goes. Nothing is for sure yet."
