OAKLAND -- The A's parted with Michael Taylor on Saturday, sending the outfielder to the White Sox in a trade that netted them Minor League right-hander Jake Sanchez.

Sanchez, signed by Chicago as a non-drafted free agent last June, was 5-4 with a 2.80 ERA and three saves in 15 games (nine starts) at Class A Kannapolis.

Taylor was once considered a top prospect, but he played in only 26 games spanning several Major League stints with the A's, hitting just .135 with one home run and one RBI.

The 28-year-old has racked up 3,053 Minor League at-bats, hitting .289 with 102 homers.
