OAKLAND, Calif. - The Oakland Athletics have reinstated infielder Alberto Callaspo from the paternity list and optioned infielder Andy Parrino to Triple-A Sacramento, the team announced today. The A's have also outrighted right-handed pitcher Marcus Walden to Double-A Midland.

He was with the A's this spring before he was claimed off waivers by Texas March 3. He began the season at Triple-A Round Rock and was batting .189 in 13 games when he claimed off waivers by the A's April 21 and optioned to Sacramento. The 28-year-old switch hitter then hit .344 with three home runs and 24 RBI in 44 games with the River Cats.

Walden was claimed off waivers by the A's from Toronto April 16 and was optioned to Sacramento. He was 0-1 with a 13.50 ERA in three relief appearances with Triple-A Buffalo before going 2-2 with a 5.73 ERA in 11 appearances, all starts, for the River Cats.
