OAKLAND, Calif. - The Oakland A's reinstated outfielder Josh Reddick from the disabled list and placed first baseman Kyle Blanks on the 15-day DL retroactive to June 23 with a strained left calf, the club announced today.

Reddick was placed on the 15-day disabled list June 3 retroactive to June 1 with a hyperextended right knee. Reddick was batting .214 with four home runs and 22 RBI in 50 games at the time of his injury.

Blanks was batting .378 with a .500 on-base percentage over his last 18 games and is hitting .333 with two home runs, seven RBI and a .446 on-base percentage in 21 games overall with the A's. He began the season at Triple-A El Paso in the San Diego farm system and went 2 for 10 (.200) in five games with the Padres before he was traded to the A's May 15 for minor leaguers Jake Goebbert and Ronald Herrera.
